Joyful Stitches- (Prayer Shawl Ministry)

We meet every Monday in the Youth Center from 9:00-12:00 in Room 3. Do you enjoy knitting and crocheting?  If so, come join our Prayer Shawl Ministry here at Regester Chapel.  Our ministry was formed over ten (10) years ago by several ladies who wanted to reach out to others in the church and community in a caring and loving way and to share the love of Christ with persons in need.  The prayer shawls we make are given to church members, friends, family members and anyone who has a special need.  Prayers for the recipients are uplifted as the shawls are being created and receive a final blessing by the Pastor.   We  make baby blankets for new babies in our congregation and in the Children’s Center.  This is a great time for fellowship as well as a time to be creative.  Our sessions are always closed with prayer and devotion.  if you have any questions please call the church office at 540-659-2642.

Line Dancing

Please join us on Fridays from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm in the Youth Center.  Come and enjoy a fun way to stay fit.  All ages are welcome. There is no charge for this class. So shine up your shoes or boots and plan to have fun.  Please contact the church office with questions at 540-659-2642 or email office@regesterchapel.org .

Journeymen

The Journeymen are the Regester Chapel Ministry to Men. Our mission is to meet all men wherever they are in their spiritual walk and the life and activity of the church, and to offer them fellowship, study and service opportunities.

Our goal is to bring godly purpose, balance and encouragement into the daily lives of men as we seek to honor God and support one another.

We are all journeymen – helping each other and honing our skills as we seek to become disciples of Jesus Christ.

We have adopted the No Man Left Behind model as it welcomes all men in all seasons.

We are about relationships, not activities. But shared activities help us grow together. Our “battle rhythm” of activities includes:

  • men’s food/fellowship (1st and 3rd Thursdays 6:30 PM in Youth Center Room 5)

  • men’s breakfasts (2nd Saturdays 7:30 PM at Mason Dixon Cafe in Stafford)

  • men’s movie nights (3rd Saturdays 6:00 PM at the Youth Center Room 5)

Other activities, announced by e-mail and in the bulletin, include:

  • Manger Build and Dad’s Tools family Christmas activities

  • race night and baseball night

  • men’s conferences and workshops

  • activities with wives and families

  • Bible study, manhood and life skill classes

  • local and national service projects and missions

  • daily Prayer for the Pastor

  • involvement and support for young men

  • church-wide cookouts

  • Men’s Ministry partnership, training and fellowship with other churches
